A CALL TO ACTION! VOLUNTEERS WE NEED YOU!
Just when cabin fever really starts to set in, the MFFC Fly Fishing Expo (http://www.mffc.org/) comes to the rescue! Reeling & Healing Midwest will be there again and we need your help to make it an expo to remember. Our booth is big and going to be great fun. Hey, we even have a theme!
This fly fishing expo is the largest of it's kind in the Midwest. It gives R&H Midwest a wonderful venue to spread the word about our retreat programs and share what we do for the community of women who are battling and surviving cancer through the sport of fly fishing.
We need volunteers to assist with set-up the afternoon of 3/9/07 (Friday), to help during booth hours on 3/10/07 (Saturday) and 3/11/07 (Sunday), and help tear down the booth and get things packed up.
To assist in planning, we have divided the show hours
as seen below.
Please reply with the time slots you are able to help and the best way to
get a hold of you. As you can see, we need several people and we encourage
you sign-up for multiple time slots. And know this - there may be work
involved, but we'll have fun - guaranteed!
Friday, March 9th - Pre Show Setup
1) 2:00 - 6:00 PM, Need 3 Volunteers
Saturday, March 10th - Show is open between 9 am and 6 pm
2) 8:30 am - 12:00 pm, Need 5 Volunteers
3) 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Need 5 Volunteers
4) 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm, Need 5 Volunteers
Sunday, March 11th - Show is open between 10 am and
4 pm and booth tear-down
5) 9:30 am - 1 pm, Need 5 Volunteers
6) 1pm - 5 pm, Need 5 Volunteers
If you are interested in staying overnight, we have several hotel rooms booked at the main hotel for Friday and Saturday night (low cost). They are on a first come first serve basis. Details provided upon request.
Whether you are available to volunteer or not, we encourage you to attend the show and support the Michigan Fly Fishing Club. They are a major contributor to our retreat programs with volunteers, flies and donations. There are many opportunities to learn more about fly fishing at the show through seminars and demonstrations, meet other who fly fish, enter several raffles for terrific equipment and more! In fact, we're raffling a silver fly fishing key chain from Tiffany's (has its own blue box), a slot at the famed Michigan Trout Unlimited School in June at Ranch Rudolph and have a special children's' game with prizes.
It's a great show and we need your help to make it better! Come and shake off those winter blues!
